Director of Missions

Dr. Matthew G. Singleton

Matt joined the SCBA staff in January 2024 as the Director of Missions. Matt was born in Waco, Texas and raised in Wortham, Texas. He began vocational ministry in 2001, serving as the Youth Minister at Kirvin Baptist Church. In 2003 Matt followed his former Youth Pastor to Oregon to help with a church plant. He and his wife, Marcia, moved back to Texas in 2009. In August of that year Matt became the Pastor of Skidmore Baptist Church. They moved to Kenedy in the summer of 2014 where Matt served as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church until the end of 2023.

Matt earned his Bachelors degree from Cascade College in Portland, Oregon, a daughter school of Oklahoma Christian University.  He completed his Masters of Divinity degree from Logson Seminary through the South Texas School of Christian Studies, now called Stark College & Seminary, in Corpus Christi. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Ministry through Truett Seminary in Waco. 

Matt and Marcia have four children: Jaxson, Ava, Madelyn, and Ezekiel. They enjoy road trips and hiking.

Ministry Assistant

Amy Boelke

Amy joined the SCBA staff in February 2024 as the Ministry Assistant. She primarily handles the finances for both associations and the area. She married her late husband, Jim Boelke, in 1999 and they raised 5 children and were blessed by 4 grandchildren. Amy loves to help others, read, and quilt.
